Tonya Steed, Au.D.
Owner & Audiologist
Dr. Tonya Steed, AuD, is a licensed audiologist with over 25 years of experience diagnosing and treating hearing loss in the Sarasota area. At Physician’s Hearing Clinic, she specializes in fitting personalized, prescription-based hearing aids and improving her patients’ quality of life through better communication with friends and family. Known for her empathetic approach and dedication to going the extra mile, patients can expect the highest level of hearing care from Dr. Steed.
A Sarasota native, Dr. Steed completed her Doctorate in Audiology from AT Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences. Her patients benefit from the valuable experience she has gained working for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Bay Pines VA Hospital, and local audiology clinics throughout her career.
Dr. Steed is passionate about helping others beyond her practice. She volunteers as a Clinical Director with Special Olympics Healthy Hearing and has received volunteer of the year awards from both Sertoma of Greater Sarasota and Riverview High School. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their three children. With two daughters attending rival universities and a son with special needs, you can find them at college football games, ballroom dancing competitions, or Miracle League baseball games.

Claudia Henry
Hearing Clinic Assistant
As the Hearing Clinic Assistant, Claudia Henry, is dedicated to ensuring that each patient receives the highest quality of care and support throughout their hearing health journey with Physicians Hearing Clinic. Claudia began her journey in hearing health several years ago and has developed a passion empowering patients to take an active role in their hearing health journey. She has over 20 years of customer service and is known for her compassion and interpersonal
skills in order to build lifelong relationships with those she meets. Claudia believes that there is a reason why we meet people, every connection serves a purpose, lesson, growth and her goal is to offer hope, extend grace and meet their needs where they are. Claudia has lived in the Sarasota area for over 30 years and raised her family here. She is a former educator with her B.A in History from the University of South Florida and a Dual Master’s in Education from Concordia University.
